And according to a PwC report, one in four Americans have no retirement savings at all.
According to the U.S. Census, of the 47.8 million Americans ages 65 and older, the average income is only $38,515 dollars.
What about Social Security?
As of March 2022, the average check is $1,536.94, according to the Social Security Administration. This is not much money to live on with costs of products continuing to rise.
These numbers leave many retirees depending on family and loved ones to survive.
What About Money on the Internet?
Some folks have unsuccessfully tried the internet to earn additional income. Most of the options are too complicated or expensive for the average person.
