Is It Too Late For You?
Pause before reading this. Based on recent data if you have not developed wealth habits by age 40 it’s probably too late for you. If you are 40+ there is one option at the end of this article.
But if you have not passed 40 yet here are some ways to become a millionaire in your 50s.
(Warning some of them may sound odd)
- Less junk food daily (less than 300 calories – barely one donut)
- Drop the lottery (despite your justifications it’s a waste of money)
- ONE clear goal (a wealth goal that is planned out with scheduled activity to achieve it daily)
- WRITTEN Goals (this has been proven so many times with data – just do it).
- Exercise DAILY (yep, you knew this one was coming, right? (again, just do it!)
- Read (sorry, we don’t mean podcasts or even audiobooks! Your mind needs to actually read. Biographies, money, wealth, related books, even 30 minutes a day)
- To-Do List – (that’s back to the scheduled activity to achieve that one clear goal mentioned earlier).
- Volunteer (told you some would sound odd. When you volunteer it boost self-esteem and makes you feel “worthy”)
- Happy Birthday (Call loved ones to wish them a happy birthday. This is part of staying connected and social relationships – yes, odd).
- Network! (no, not network marketing, but network. Meet more successful people and hang out where they hang out).
- TV (Ouch! Not going to like it. The wealthy watch less than ONE hour of TV daily – yep, even includes sports)
- Early risers (wake at least one hour, most use 2 – 3 hours, before your actual day begins).
If too much life has passed by it will be hard to adopt most of these habits. The TV habit is a perfect example if you can’t pull yourself away from it you may need to accept the fact that you will never become very wealthy.
(Sorry! Most folks don’t).
